Taught at the international school in Niger
I served as a teacher at Sahel Academy, a school established by SIM(Serving in Mission) in Niger, West Africa. While teaching the MK students, I came to understand their lives and unique challenges more deeply. Although I had many weaknesses, it was my first mission field, and I was grateful for the chance to lift up the name of Jesus and serve in a different culture.
Living in a country with many limitations taught me one important lesson: humility. I made many mistakes, experienced loss, and learned that working together across cultures is not easy. But through those experiences, I grew a lot and witnessed the great grace of the Lord in my life.

BAM in Niger
While teaching at the missionary kids’ school, I also worked in a BAM ministry. Niger is a country where poverty itself drives the economy, and most people survive through that poverty. The weather is extremely hot, and less than 1% of the land can be used for farming. More than 80% of the country is desert. It is a place with very few opportunities for work or education.
In this difficult environment, we repaired cars together even without a car lift. Bashiru, who worked with us, earned his professional certificate after three years and became independent. Moktar also started a small cleaning business and was able to support himself. Through these experiences, I witnessed how God can use small opportunities to bring real change to people’s lives.
